PURPOSE: To obtain an optimal ignition timing at the time of high-load operation of an internal-combustion engine, by advancing the ignition timing when igniting operation is stopped at the time of high-load operation of the engine through the provision of a magnetic means in a vacuum ignition advancing means.
CONSTITUTION: When the suction vacuum is high, a diaphragm 14 pushes a spring 15, so that the ignition timing is most advanced. On the other hand, when the suction vacuum is low, the diaphragm 14 is moved in the reverse direction, so that the ignition timing is delayed most. When the suction vacuum becomes a set pressure for stopping high-energy ignition, a booster switch 7 is operated and the diaphragm 14 is attracted by the magnetic attractive force of magnetic elements 19, 20 which are magnetized by a electromagnetic coil 18. In this state, the ignition timing is determined at the point where the magnetic attractive force of the magnetic elements 19, 20 is balanced with the force of the spring 15. By employing such an arrangement, it is enabled to obtain an optimal ignition timing at the time of low-energy ignition of the engine.
