Title:
IGNITION DETERMINING DEVICE FOR COMBUSTION TYPE HEATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007078212
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an ignition determining device for a combustion type heater capable of detecting the defective determination of ignition by an ignition sensor without using an additional component such as a sensor, and improving reliability without increasing cost.

This ignition determining device comprises the combustion type heater 3 composed of a combustion portion 3A and a heat exchanging portion 3B, the ignition sensor 7, an inlet water temperature sensor 8, an outlet water temperature sensor 9 and an ECU 10. The ECU includes a timer and a determining means for determining defective ignition on the basis of the difference between an inlet temperature and an outlet temperature, the defective ignition is determined when a state that the outlet water temperature THWO is lower than the inlet water temperature THWIB is continued for more than a prescribed time, and the operation of the combustion type heater is stopped. Water temperatures of outflow/inflow ports are detected while considering a time difference from the entering of hot water entering from the inflow port of the heat exchanging portion to flowing-out from the outflow port.
