To provide an ignition device for an internal combustion engine improved in contact stability by solving the following problem: in a conventional ignition device for an internal combustion engine, a cathode terminal of a diode is pressed and fitted in/to a primary terminal connected to a power source to be connected thereto in two-point contact, thereby the contact is maintained in the initial stage of assembly but the contact becomes unstable by application of heat in a process of injecting an epoxy resin in a die and curing it.
The ignition device for an internal combustion engine improved in contact stability can be provided by being structured such that a cathode terminal of a diode is caught by a primary terminal connected to a power source to be connected in three-point contact.
