PURPOSE: To reduce generation of radio noise, by using a distributor of rotary switch type in which concentrically arranged brushes and electric contacts are equipped in such a manner as to be directly slide contacted at ignition timing of each cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: An electric current flowing in a primary coil L1 of an ignition coil 2 from a battery 1 is rapidly disconnected by a switch 3 turned on and off synchronously with revolution of an engine to generate high voltage in a secondary coil L2 of the coil 2. A distributor 10 is equipped with an equal number of conductive sliding rings 13aW13d to a number of cylinders concentrically with the rotary center in one side of a rotor 12 consisting of an electric insulator secured to a rotary shaft 11 synchronously rotated with revolution of the internal-combustion engine. To increase a mutual dielectric characteristic, partitions 14 of insulating material are integrally provided with the rotor 12 between these rings 13aW13d. Then four brushes are arranged to said partitions.
