Abstract:

To provide an ignition device of a pellet stove easily and quickly igniting an artificial fuel and having improved durability.

In this pellet stove 10, the ignition device 70 is placed below a grate 32. The ignition device 70 comprises a heater 74 and bimetal 72 for supporting the heater 74. When the heater is energized and heated, the bimetal 72 is heated and deformed and the tip 88 of the heater 74 protrudes through the upper surface of the grate 32. Thereby, a wood pellet 14 carried onto the upper surface of the grate 32 is heated and ignited. On the other hand, when completing ignition of the wood pellet 14, energizing to the heater 74 is stopped, the bimetal 72 is cooled by the air fed from the lower part of the grate 32 and returned to the initial shape, and the tip 88 of the heater 74 supported by the bimetal 72 escapes below the grate 32.
