Title:
IGNITION DEVICE FOR ROTARY ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0642363
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve heat resistance of an ignition plug as combustibility is maintained.

CONSTITUTION: An ignition device for a rotary engine is provided with a plurality of ignition plugs T1, T2 and L1, L2 arranged on both the trailing side and the leading side with a given distance therebetween in the direction of the width of a rotary housing 11 and an engine temperature detecting means to detect an engine temperature. When the temperature of an engine is low, all ignition plugs T1, T2, L1, and L2 on the trailing side and on the leading side are ignited. Meanwhile, when the temperature of the engine is high, one of a plurality of the ignition plugs T1 and T2 on the trailing side and one of a plurality of ignition plugs L1 and L2 on the leading side are respectively ignited. Selection of one ignition plug on each of both sides ignited as a pair is set to the ignition plug pair ((T1 and L2) or (T2 and L1) on the side where a distance between the ignition plugs is increased.
