PURPOSE: To improve an ignition performance in an ignition device for a gas burner in which first flame holes with low gas concentration and second flame holes with low gas concentration are alternatively arranged in parallel.
CONSTITUTION: A configuration of a flame hole part having many flame holes formed therein is made such that first flame holes H1 are arranged at end edges of the flame hole part. An electrode plate T is arranged above a flame hole part B2 along outer side edges of the first flame holes H1 at the end edges of the flame hole part, an electrode part P1 of an ignition plug P is arranged above second flame holes H2 subsequent to an inside area of each of the first flame holes H1 and then electrical discharging is carried out at the electrode plate T from the electrode part P1.
