PURPOSE: To minimize the fixing space and improve the fixing efficiency by arranging main components of the electromagnetic pickup on the underside of a bracket supported in a housing in a device with an electromagnetic pickup arranged inside the housing.

CONSTITUTION: In a device with an electromagnetic pickup to generate an ignition signal or a position detecting signal for an engine crank arranged inside a housing 6, a concave part 6a is shaped on the bottom of the housing 6, and inside this concave part 6a, main components such as a pickup coil 11 of the electromagnetic pickup, a magnet 12 and the like are contained. On the upper side of these main components, a bracket 13 is arranged and fixed on the housing 6 by screws 14. This construction permits to minimize the fixing space of the electromagnetic pickup in the housing 6 and as well improve the fixing efficiency.
