To provide an ignition device capable of eliminating issues on spacing, cost and an internal combustion engine trouble due to heat generation or the like by attaining space saving in the internal combustion engine, in direct ignition for the internal combustion engine.

To intensify ignition sparks, a positive pole 13 with a resistor (without the resistor) jointed or brought into contact to/with ignition plug fitting hardware 3 or the middle portion of a core wire 2 is covered with an insulator material 14, a negative pole 11 is placed on it from the above, and insulator covering 12 is placed on it. A terminal 10 is mounted on the front end of the negative pole 11. The terminal is jointed to or brought into contact with the ground of the internal combustion engine.
