To provide a sub-chamber type ignition plug capable of making spark ignition stable and producing it satisfactorily, as a sub-chamber type ignition plug which is provided with an ignition chamber including a central electrode and a ground electrode within a plug cover, and produces a spark between a central electrode and a ground electrode to set an ignition timing.
To configure an ignition plug in which the central electrode 16a and the ground electrode 16b are included to be opposed to each other within an ignition chamber 14, and a plurality of communication holes 15 which communicate an ignition chamber 14 and a combustion chamber 3 are provided in a plug cover, letting a distance from a small diameter portion 17 at tip of the central electrode 16a to an intersection O of the communication hole 15 to be Z, and a diameter of an imaginary circle connecting centers of respective communication holes 15 to be L', a relation of 0.3<Z/L'<0.7 holds.
