To provide an ignition switch unit which can avoid the accumulation of rainwater etc., intruding into an insertion hole of a case, near a keyhole by urging the rapid and proper discharge of the rainwater etc.
This ignition switch unit comprises: a switch means 2 which is equipped with a keyhole 2a, and which is rotatively operated in a predetermined direction in the state of undergoing the insertion of an ignition key K, so as to start/stop an engine of an industrial machine; the case 3 which is formed with an insertion hole 3b for exposing the keyhole 2a to the outside while covering the switch means 2, and which is mounted in such an inclined manner that a lower edge is positioned lower than an upper one; the shutter 4 which can be freely turned between a closing position to close the insertion hole 3b of the case 3, and an opening position to open the insertion hole 3b and expose the keyhole 2a to the outside; and a drainage groove 8 which is formed on the surface 3a of the case 3, and the base end of which is elongated in the outer-end direction of the case 3 while communicating with the insertion hole 3b.
