Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition switch of a vehicle capable of preventing abrasion of contacts, and capable of supplying power to a desired output terminal, without requiring any special control of a light-emitting element.SOLUTION: The ignition switch of a vehicle for supplying power to a predetermined output terminal by short-circuiting the predetermined output terminal to a power supply terminal according to the turning angle of a rotor 1 has: a mounting board 4 mounting the appropriate number of light receiving and emitting elements 2, 3 around the center of rotation of the rotor 1, and a switching circuit electrically connecting the output terminal corresponding to the light receiving element 2 optically coupled to the light emitting element 3 with the power terminal; and a light guide member 6 rotatably driven on the element mounting surface of the mounting board 4 while being coupled with the rotor 1, and optically coupling the light receiving element 2 and light emitting element 3, by confronting a light projection and receiving part 5 against at least one light emitting element 3 for each of multiple turning angles of the rotor, and the appropriate number of light receiving elements 2 predetermined for the operation angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
