Title:
ILLUMINATED SEESAW SWITCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3827356
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent light leak from the surrounding of a pushing key operating part with the occupied space to a front plate reduced by using a pushing key formed by projecting a pair of elastic pieces in the rear, and regulating the position of the tip of the elastic piece with a light conductor.
SOLUTION: When an operator pushes one end of an operating part 2, a pushing key 1 bends elastic pieces 9, 10, and rotates on a swinging fulcrum part 4. When the operating force is removed, the key 1 automatically returns to the original position by the restoring force of the elastic pieces 9, 10. For example, when the right end (left end) of the operating part 2 is pushed, the elastic piece 9 (10) elastically coming into contact with the side surface 16a (16b) of an engaging part 16 is bent so as to be pressed against the side surface 16a (16b), and a switch element 12 (13) corresponding to an actuator 7 (8) is driven. A light source 14 is assembled on the inside of a light conductor 15, and light is conducted to the operating part 2 through the light conductor 15. Since the positions of the elastic pieces 9, 10 are regulated with the engaging part formed in the light conductor 15, setting of a position regulating member is made unnecessary, and the undesirable downward extension of the elastic pieces 9, 10 is also made unnecessary.
