To easily and inexpensively fabricate a signboard device which makes a wide variety of illuminated advertisement possible.

A flexible display film 2 having translucency is stuck to the entire surface of a rectangular frame 1 of a steel sheet and logo plates 3 of '1', '2', '3', and '4' formed of acrylic plates of different colors having translucency are stuck with an adhesive to one surface of this display film 2. Miniature light sources 20 of each unit formed by molding and hermetically sealing the LEDs into translucent small containers by translucent resins imparted with light diffusivity by kneading, etc., of fine powder of silica, etc., are attached to the back side of the film along the logo plates 3 of the respective figures of the front surface. The current supply to a plurality of sets of the miniature light sources 20 made correspondent to one figure is so performed as to pick out, for example, the figure '1' by the light of these light sources, then to pick out the subsequent figures by taking time lags from the respective previous figures, by one each or dividedly by a plurality each to a plurality of sets. Picking out of the one figure is performed by successively lighting the miniature light sources 20 with time lag disposed from the miniature light source 20 at one end of the figure to the miniature light source 20 at the other end.
