To provide an illuminating device 11 capable of changing light distribution of a planar light source 25 with a heat radiating unit 26 arranged on a rear face side by moving in an optical axis direction.
The planar light source unit 18 is composed integrally of a planar light source 25, a heat radiating unit 26 arranged on a rear face side of the planar light source 25, and a light regulating body 27 arranged on a frond side of the planar light source 25. On a front side of a reflecting body 20, there is provided a light emitting opening 44 emitting light from the planar light source 25 and on a rear face side of the reflecting body 20, there is provided a light source side opening 45 where the light regulating body 27 of the planar light source unit 18 can move in an optical axis direction. A moving mechanism 19 moves the planar light source unit 18 integrally in the optical axis direction. The light regulating body 27 of the planar light source unit 18 moves inside the reflecting body 20 in the optical axis direction so as to change light distribution.
