Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect natural curly grain by performing heating for hardening a fiber sheet prepreg impregnated with a thermosetting resin, forming a FRP pipe by integrally fusing decorative veneer on the whole surface in a covering state as a handrail body, and performing wiring by inserting an illuminating lighting fixture inside a hollow part of the handrail body.
SOLUTION: A fiber prepreg 13 impregnated with a thermosetting resin and formed in a semihardened state is wound plural times on a cross-sectional circular metal mold, and thins decorative veneer 15 having natural curly grain is wound so as to cover the surface to be heated. Then, the thermosetting resin softens once by heating to become a fluid state, so that the decorative veneer 15 hardens in a mixedly/ integrally fused state. This is separated from the mold to be formed as a handrail body, an illuminating lighting fixture is inserted inside a hollow part to perform wiring, electric power is supplied from an external power source, and when lighting it, it becomes handrail for reflecting natural curly grain of the decorative veneer 15. Since an FRP pipe is lightweight and excellent in durable strength, there is no possibility of causing a damage accident of an illuminating lighting fixture in use as the handrail, and the light can be projected in all directions of 360 degrees. Thus, a position of the handrail can be confirmed even in the night so as to become safe.
