PURPOSE: To change a lighting pattern by performing a space optical communication by an infrared ray signal from a desired position in the surface of an arena.

CONSTITUTION: After setting a number for a desired lighting pattern among lighting control patterns by a set switch 10d of a light transmitter 10, an infrared ray pulse signal is transmitted from a light emitting part 102 toward a light receiver 20. The light receiver 20 receives the infrared ray pulse signal, converts it into an electric signal, and outputs it to a light reception controller 30. The light reception controller 30 determines the lighting pattern, and outputs it to a lighting control panel as a lighting apparatus lighting instruction signal. Changing the lighting patterns can thus be controlled simply and easily in an arena surface, and it can be controlled at a proper position in the arena surface.
