To provide an illuminating light source capable of enhancing safety in case a globe drops from a case.
The illuminating light source is provided with a light-emitting part 3 and a lighting circuit 5 supplying power to the light-emitting part 3 through a conductive line 51 or the like, housed in an envelope container consisting of a case and a globe 9. In the globe 9, the conductive line 51 which is electrically connected with the lighting circuit 5 in the state of combination with the case, and which is electrically disconnected with the lighting circuit 5 in a state separated from the case, is provided. When electric connection between the lighting circuit 5 and the conductive line 51 is disconnected, power supply to the light-emitting part 3 is interrupted.
