Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the illuminating optical system for illuminating uniformly an image to be projected provided on the surface to be irradiated and obtaining a projection image having a satisfactory illuminance distribution even in the case projection lenses of various projection magnifications are used. CONSTITUTION:In the illuminating optical system in which a light source means 1 is placed in the vicinity of a focus of a reflector 2, and an image 6 to be projected is illuminated by a luminous flux which is reflected by the reflector 2, or/and passes directly through a condenser lens 5, in the luminous flux radiated from the light source means 1, this system is provided with a reflecting means 10 for guiding the luminous flux radiated to the side of the image 6 to be projected concerned without passing through the reflector concerned 2 from the light source means concerned 1 to the side of the image 6 to be projected along an optical axis, on the side of the image 6 to be projected concerned in the vicinity of the light source means 1.
