To provide an illumination apparatus obtaining intended illumination light by mixing the light of a plurality of light emitting elements emitting colored light different from each other of which color irregularity is reduced.

The illumination apparatus is composed of plural kinds of LED modules 1R, 1G, 1B different in color of light from each other, a mounting base plate 2 having a main surface 2a on which the plural kinds of LED modules 1R, 1G, 1B are mounted, and a motor 3 making the mounting base plate 2 rotate around a rotation axis 3a which is fixed to nearly central part of the mounting base plate 2 so as to become nearly perpendicular to the main surface 2a of the mounting base plate 2. The plural kinds of LED modules 1R, 1G, 1B are arranged on a circumference of plurality of concentric circles with the rotation axis 3a as a center on the main surface 2a of the mounting base plate 2. The colors of the light of the LED modules 1R, 1G, 1B arranged on respective concentric circles are mixed by after-image phenomenon of human eye, and color irregularity on an irradiation face is reduced.
