PURPOSE: To simplify wiring and correctly grasp the light quantity of a lamp by integrally forming at least part of the controller of an illumination apparatus and a dimming display device, and fitting them to an apparatus main body.

CONSTITUTION: When a signal is transmitted from a remote control transmitter to a reception section 7, the light quantity of a lamp 4 is adjusted based on the control action of a controller 8. A dimming display device 9 is connected to the controller 8, a stay 13 is fitted to a holder 15, and the control state of the controller 8 is displayed by the display section 12 of the device 9. The display is performed by the lighting of light emitting elements 12a in response to the dimming degree indicated with a numeral in the unit of percentage. The light quantity of the lamp 4 is correctly grasped. Holders 15 are formed at multiple positions on an apparatus main body 1, thereby the fitting position of the device 9 to the main body 1 can be selected.
