PURPOSE: To draw a radiating pattern through a cover surface through the propagation of pile fiber, by constituting the cover with a pile cloth at which the root portion of a cut pile made up of a condensing quality fiber where incident light from a fiber side surface is emitted from a fiber end surface, appears on the back of the cover in patternlike and in a design drawn as required.
CONSTITUTION: An illumination device 14 is made up of an illuminating light 11 and a cover 12 covering the light and a supporting material 13 for these, and part or the whole of the cover 12 is made up of a cut pile. This cut pile is made up of a condensing quality fiber 16 where radiation light 15 to a fiber side surface is emitted from the cross section of a fiber end terminal, and the root portion 17 of the pile 16 forms the base portion of a design 18 at the back of the cover 12, so when an illumination light 11 is lighted, its light is emitted to the surface of the cover 12 only through the condensing pile 16 of a condensing quality fiber whose root portion 17 constitutes the base portion of the design 18 at the back, and as a result, the outlines of the design are drawn on the cover 12 surface as they are.
