Abstract:

To provide an illumination device to illuminate a zero-grade hazardous place for a vessel.

Through-holes 17 are bored in a deck 16 which separates the zero-grade hazardous place and a second-grade hazardous place. An optical fiber 21 is inserted into each through-hole 17, and an irradiation portion 22 is installed at an output end of the optical fiber 21 in the zero-grade hazardous place. The through-hole 17 is air-tightly sealed off with a seal portion 25. The optical fiber 21 is arranged on the deck 16, and its incident end is connected to a light-focusing portion 23 formed in the second-grade hazardous place. A light source device 24 with a flameproof structure is arranged faced to the light-focusing portion 23.
