Abstract:
To provide an illumination device that makes it possible to reduce the size of a filter while preventing deterioration of designability of the illumination device due to the filter.
An illumination device includes a semiconductor light-emitting element 21a, a light guide plate 22 in which an edge face 22a as a light incident end face on the periphery receives light emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting element 21a, and a filter 23 having a light color layer as an electrochemical responsive material layer. The filter 23 is provided between the semiconductor light-emitting element 21a (light source 21) and the light guide plate 22.
