Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device which gives a user a feeling of spaciousness of a room, and which hardly gives a feeling of oppression even when installed in a narrow room.SOLUTION: An illumination device body 2 has: a light source unit 10 including an LED as a semiconductor light-emitting element; a power supply unit 20 for supplying power to the light source unit 10; and a housing 30 for accommodating the light source unit 10 and the power supply unit 20. In the housing 30, a light source storage chamber 30b where the light source unit 10 is stored in the central part, and a power supply storage chamber 30c where the power supply unit 20 is stored so as to surround its periphery are arranged. The height of the housing 30 is set to be 55 mm or less, and a diameter L of a light emission port S is set to be 100 mm or less.
