Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination light source that can improve heat dissipation efficiency of heat generated by a light emitting module.SOLUTION: The illumination light source comprises: an LED module 20; a globe 10 arranged so as to cover the LED module 20; a cap 90 for receiving electric power for light emission of the LED module 20 from outside; a case 80 connected to an opening portion 11 of the globe 10 and an opening portion 90a of the cap 90; and a base 45 for supporting the LED module 20 and dividing a first space 210 that is a space in the globe 10 from a second space 220 formed by a space in the cap 90 and a space in the case 80. In the base 45, at least two vent holes 43a and 43b for convecting gas between the first space 210 and the second space 220 are formed.
