The illumination optical apparatus has a 1st lens holding member 300 holding a 1st fly-eye lens 104, a 2nd lens holding member 400 connected to the 1st lens holding member 300 and holding a 2nd fly-eye lens 105, and a 3rd lens holding member 500 connected to the 2nd lens holding member 400 and holding a 1st lens group 106, a mirror 107 and a 2nd lens group 108. The 1st lens holding member 300 and the 2nd lens holding member 400 are connected to rotate centering around an optical axis.
