PURPOSE: To obtain a pen producing a representing effect suitable for festivities and the like.

CONSTITUTION: A transparent outer barrel 2 is provided on an appropriate position of a pen body 1. A substrate 4 which can control the emission/extinction of a plurality of light emitting elements L is contained in said outer barrel for beautifully illuminating a space around the pen body and a hand gripping the pen. In addition, a light scattering plate 3 capable of scattering a light from said light emitting element group in many directions is interposed between said transparent barrel and said illumination substrate to amplify an illumination effect in a multiple manner.
