Title:
ILLUMINATION SYSTEM CORRESPONDING TO NUMBER OF PERSONS PRESENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010147014
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an illumination system capable of enhancing workability or amenity by adjusting at least an output of a lighting fixture in a person-absent area depending on whether the number of persons in a person-present area is singular or plural.

The illumination system is provided with a plurality of illuminating means 12 arranged in each of unit areas, a person detecting means 14 for detecting presence of a person in each of unit areas, and a controlling means 16 for adjusting the output of the illuminating means based on the detected signal from the person detecting means. The controlling means is so designed that the outputs of the illuminating means of each of the areas be reduced in the order of a person-present area, a first person-absent area around the person-present area, and a second person-absent area outside of the first person-absent area, and that the output of the illuminating means in the first person-absent area be larger when the number of persons in the corresponding person-present area is plural rather than singular.
