The illumination unit 1 includes a light emitting function unit 10 having a light emitting portion 12 for emitting light, a housing 20 for housing the light emitting function unit 10 in a waterproof manner, and a decorative panel 40 to which the housing 20 is attached. The housing 20 includes a light transmitting portion 27 transmitting the light emitted from the light emitting portion 12, and a turning shaft portion 29 provided in an axial center so as to be attached to the decorative panel 40 by being turned. The decorative panel 40 includes a bearing portion 53 provided in the rear face 40b of the decorative panel 40 and turnably supporting the turning shaft portion 29, and a light emitting portion 42 for emitting light that transmits through the light transmitting portion 27 to the front surface 40a side of the decorative panel 40.
