A plurality of luminaires 8 are mounted in parallel with the ceiling section of an elevator cage with a specific interval. The illumination board 9b is provided at the lower position of the luminaires 8 so that the plurality of luminaires can be covered. Each luminaire 8 is composed by providing a plurality of cold cathode fluorescent lamps 7 that are arranged in parallel one another and a reflection board 10 being provided at the upper position of the cold cathode fluorescent lamps 7. Additionally, an interval (c) between the cold cathode fluorescent lamps 7 in the adjacent luminaires 8 is nearly equal to an interval (c) between a plurality of cold cathode fluorescent lamps 7 being provided at each luminaire 8.
