Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a real time telecine system for converting a movie film to high-definition video. CONSTITUTION: A telecine system 100 has a control unit 110 provided with a data base for completely controlling all the parameters related to film/high- definition video conversion. That telecine system is provided with a lamp house for generating three unicolor light sources, and the light intensity of each light source is independently controlled by the control unit. Each light source has a lamp, variable power source, lens structure and light valve. Each lamp is a non-incandescent lamp such as xenon and generates a collimated light beam. Every lens structure has a thermal mirror, dychroic filter and condenser lens. The dychroic filter corresponding to each light source generates the unicolor light source by filtering the light beam. The condenser lens condenses the unicolor light beam from each light source so as to input it to an integral ball. That integral ball generates a multicolor diffusion light source for irradiating the film frame and generates an optical film image.
