A display chamber 2 is constituted inside of an inner partition plate 1, and a plurality of shelves 3 are provided in the display chamber 2. Flexible bar-shaped optical fibers 5 emitting light from circumferences thereof from front ends of the shelves along sides are disposed and reflector plates 6 are mounted above the optical fibers 5. By such a constitution, light generated from a light source is guided to the optical fibers 5 and emitted from part of a circumferential face other than the reflector plate 6 so that light is radiated onto wide ranges on the shelves 3 from the front end of the shelves 3, and commodities in a wide range on the shelves 3 can be irradiated with the light. At this moment, reflection to customers becomes small so that glare is reduced, enhancing marketing effect, and refrigeration load in the display chamber 2 is alleviated and cooling effect and energy saving can be contrived.
