To provide an image display device, a projector, and an image adjustment method of the image display device that make it possible to select a desired image adjustment part in a display image and clearly view the selected image part.

Once an operation to adjust an image is performed, an image signal processing section 16 stops the image and makes a display part display a selection cursor 51 for selecting the desired image part in the image. Further, the image signal processing section 16 blinks the selected part in the still image and an image part having nearly the same gray scale with the selected image part in response to an operation to select the image part in the still image with the selection cursor 51, so the selected image part including the part having nearly the same gray scale is displayed discriminatingly from other image parts through the blinking.
