PURPOSE: To provide an image display device which can create a desired density profile in an image area on a multi-valued image, and can display and analyze the image.
CONSTITUTION: An image analyzing device is composed of a profile data creating part 80 for creating a density profiling data in a predetermined area, and for storing the data in an image data memory 79, a profile date compensating part 80 for compensating the density profile data stored in the memory 79, a profile data memory part 84 for storing the created profile data produced by the profile data creating part 80, and compensating curve data, and an image display part 86 for displaying a density profile compensated by the profile data compensating part 82, on a CRT 50 and also displaying a compensating curve obtained in accordance with the compensating curve data and having a density inverted with respect to a base line on which the density is zero, on the CRT 50.
