PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost image apparatus in which the electrodes of an image element array are strongly connected to electrode wirings covering a base plate with a large covering strength.
CONSTITUTION: An image apparatus comprises a lens member having a plurality of lenses, and a base plate 1 made of a transparent material in which one main surface side is rough and many image element arrays 2 are linearly arranged to be mounted on one main surface side and fixed so that the lens 7 are made correspond to the arrays 1 one by one. Each array 2 has a plurality of electrodes 2b provided on the front surface, and a plurality of light receiving and emitting regions 2c. The electrodes 2b are connected to the electrode wirings 1a covering the one main surface side of the plate 1 via solder 4 in a flip-chip manner to be mounted on the plate 1, and a translucent member 5 made of thermoplastic resin is interposed between the plate 1 and the region 2c of the array 2.
