Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image blur correcting device which can resume the correction of an image blur in a short time even when a large image blur exceeding correctable range occurs.
SOLUTION: When an image blur in the horizontal axial direction is within a correctable range, the value of a driving target value V44a is set so that a correcting lens is driven to follow the image blur (S202). When the mage blur in the horizontal axial direction exceeds the correctable range, the value V44 is calculated so that the correcting lens is driven in direction toward a reference position with a specified time constant in the horizontal axial direction till the blur direction of the image blur is reversed (S218) and a digital rocking displacement value V4a is set so that the correcting lens is driven to follow the image blur displaced to the value V44a when the blur direction is reversed (S224). The driving amount of the correcting lens is calculated based on difference between the value V44a and the positional information of the correcting lens in the horizontal direction, and the correcting lens is driven.
