Abstract:

To enable suitable diaphragm control meeting a photographing condition in a configuration for performing diaphragm control of a lens unit by communication between an image capture apparatus and the lens unit.

Diaphragm control information transmitted to a mounted lens unit by communication means in order to control a diaphragm of the mounted lens unit is switched between first diaphragm control information representing a drive amount of the diaphragm and second diaphragm control information representing a target diaphragm value of the diaphragm.
