Abstract:
To provide an image capturing apparatus for properly setting a shutter speed, which is optimal for panning without needing an angular velocity meter; and to provide a control apparatus for the same.
A digital camera 1, being the image capturing apparatus includes: a sensor 14; a background moving speed calculation unit for calculating a moving speed of a background of a subject from a plurality of preimages captured by the sensor 14; and a shutter speed calculation unit for calculating a shutter speed from the moving speed and a predetermined image flow quantity.
