Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the consumption of electric power by an image-capturing device in cases when a subject is image-captured several times at set time intervals.SOLUTION: When a subject is image-captured several times at set time intervals, and when it is determined that the state of light-emission means is a second state in which the consumption of electric power is smaller than in a first state in which light can be emitted corresponding to the image-capturing of the subject by image-capturing means, and the light-emission means is not made to emit light till the next image-capturing by the image-capturing means, the state of the light-emission means is maintained in the second state till the next image-capturing by the image-capturing means. When it is determined that the state of the light-emission means is the second state, and the light-emission means is made to emit light by the next image-capturing by the image-capturing means, an operation for changing the state of the light-emission means from the second state to the first state before the next image-capturing by the image-capturing means is begun.
