Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the amount of exposure in response to a change of the subject to be image-captured in cases where an in-focus position is altered by a user.SOLUTION: An image-capturing device includes: weighting means for setting the degree of weighting of the photometric values of a plurality of areas in one screen so that the degree of weighting of an area in which a subject within the depth of field is included is larger than the degree of weighting that is referenced; calculation means for calculating an evaluation value on the basis of the photometric value and the degree of weighting; and determination means for determining whether or not an in-focus position is changed, the image-capturing device being characterized in that, when an image-capture lens is at a first in-focus position, the amount of exposure is set on the basis of the evaluation value based on the plurality of areas, and when the in-focus position of the image-capture lens is changed, the amount of exposure is set that is based on a difference between the evaluation value based on the area of the subject within the depth of field at an in-focus position before the change and the evaluation value based on the area of the subject within the depth of field at an in-focus position after the change.
