Abstract:
To provide an image coding method and an image decoding method capable of reducing the amount of coding as compared with using a predicted image obtained by simply averaging and synthesizing an inter-predicted image and an intra-predicted image.SOLUTION: An image coding method of coding an image includes a prediction image generation step of generating a prediction image of synthesis prediction by performing a synthesis process for synthesizing a prediction image of the inter-prediction and a prediction image of the intra-prediction for a coded target block, and a coding step of encoding a difference between a pixel value of the prediction image and a pixel value of an image of the coded target block. In the synthesis process, the prediction image of the inter-prediction and the prediction image of the intra-prediction are weighted, and a weighting parameter of the weighting process is determined according to a combination of the type of the intra-prediction of the coded target block and the prediction modes of a plurality of adjacent blocks adjacent to the coded target block. The types of intra-prediction of the coded target block include planner prediction and DC prediction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
