Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain cryptographic communication not easily decoded with simple and inexpensive constitution by splitting a picture minutely in the unit of lines at the transmission, imbedding the resulting picture into a random picture, sending a cryptographic picture and extracting the split pictures at the reception according to a changeover procedure. CONSTITUTION:The picture information is selected at the 1st and 2nd lines, random information is selected at the 3rd and 4th lines, and the pattern is repeated at an interval of 4-line period to obtain picture information including random information. The imbedded picture information is decoded into the original picture information by selecting the 1st and 2nd lines and excluding the 3rd and 4th lines and repeating the pattern at an interval of 4-line period. Thus, the picture is split minutely in the unit of lines and imbedded into a random picture to send a cryptographic picture destroyed apparently to be illegible from a picture transmitter 10. On the other hand, the original picture is decoded by extracting the said split pictures according to the switching procedure sent prior to the cryptographic picture at a picture receiver 40.
