Abstract:
To provide an image compression method for compressing an image to appropriate image data and a transmitting apparatus using the image compression method.
The transmitting apparatus 100 is connected to the computer 10 of an external equipment via an interface 110. A control unit 130 is connected to the interface 110 and receives an image compression signal from the computer 10. The image compression signal is transmitted to a data compression section 140. The data compression section 140 compresses the image data, based on the image compression signal from the control section 130.
