Abstract:
To provide an image data encoding/decoding method and device for a 360-degree image.SOLUTION: A decoding method includes steps of: receiving a bitstream in which a 360-degree image is encoded; referring to syntactic information obtained from the received bitstream to generate a prediction image; combining the generated prediction image with a residual image obtained by inversely quantizing and inversely transforming the bitstream to obtain a decoded image; reconstructing the decoded image into a 360-degree image in a projection format; obtaining a motion vector candidate group including motion vectors of a block adjacent to a current block to be decoded from motion information; deriving a prediction motion vector from the motion vector candidate group based on selection information extracted from the motion information; and using a final motion vector derived by adding the prediction motion vector to a differential motion vector extracted from the motion information.SELECTED DRAWING: None
