An image data transfer apparatus includes: an image data acquisition unit 11 for acquiring image data from an external imaging apparatus; a positioning unit 12 for positioning the own apparatus to generate position information; an image data transfer unit 13 for transferring the image data to an external transfer target apparatus; and when the own apparatus is in a transfer target connection state communicably connected to the transfer target apparatus, an imaging position information addition unit 14 for adding the position information generated by the positioning unit 12 to the image data acquired by the image data acquisition unit 11 as imaging position information, to transfer the image data having the added imaging position information to the image data transfer unit 13.
