Abstract:
To provide an image display apparatus which can effectively prevent color unevenness with a simple configuration.
An image display apparatus includes an image formation device 11, a collimator optical system 12 and an optical device 20. The optical device 20 includes a light guide plate 21, and a first diffraction grating member 30 and a second diffraction grating member 40 composed of reflection type volume hologram diffraction gratings. The first diffraction grating member 30 and the second diffraction grating member 40 are made of the same material, and thickness of the second diffraction grating member 40 is thinner than that of the first diffraction grating member 30.
