Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of effectively suppressing speckle noise by an easy operation while suppressing reduction in resolution of a displayed image.SOLUTION: An image display device 20 includes a light source emitting laser light, a screen 108 to diffuse the laser light, a scanning part for scanning the screen 108 with the laser light emitted from the light source, and an optical system for producing a virtual image from the laser light diffused by the screen 108. The screen 108 includes a microlens array 402 in which lens parts 402 for diffusing light are arranged to form a two-dimensional array, and a bead aggregate 403 disposed on a light source side with respect to the microlens array 402 to cover the scanning range of the laser light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
