To provide an image display device capable of suppressing irregularities in an image without causing an increase in size of a pixel circuit and reduction in power utilization efficiency as much as possible.
The image display device includes: a light emitting element; first to third transistors configured, respectively, to adjust a current between first and second electrodes by the potential of a third electrode, to adjust a current between fourth and fifth electrodes by the potential of a sixth electrode, and to adjust a current between seventh and eighth electrodes by the potential of a ninth electrode; a capacitor which obtains an electrical capacitance between tenth and eleventh electrodes; a first application section which applies a first potential to one electrode of the light emitting element upon emitting the light; and a second application section which applies a second potential lower than the first potential to the other electrode of the light emitting element upon emitting the light. The first electrode is connected to the first application section and the seventh electrode, and the second electrode is connected to the other electrode, the current quantity of the light emitting element is controlled by adjusting the current between the first and second electrodes, the third electrode is connected to the eighth and tenth electrodes, the fourth electrode is connected to the eleventh electrode, the fifth electrode is connected to the second electrode and the other electrode, the seventh electrode is connected to the first application section, and the eighth electrode is connected to the tenth electrode.
