Abstract:
To provide an image display device capable of relatively easily displaying an image such that the image is viewable from a viewer at a desired viewing position (e.g., viewing position with good visibility for the viewer).SOLUTION: An image display device includes: emission means for emitting a laser beam LB; diffusion means 15 comprising a plurality of optical elements 152#A to 152#E which are regularly arrayed along a scanning surface scanned with the laser beam emitted by the emission means and diffuse the laser beam, respectively; and adjustment means which adjusts a formation position at which a light spot LS is formed by the laser beam on the scanning surface for each of the plurality of optical elements such that the laser beam is diffused toward desired diffusion directions by each of the plurality of optical elements.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
